Growth and Inflation Rates can be set up at Portfolio, Property or Unit level in the same way as Capitalisation Rates. However in order for them to have an effect they must be APPLIED to each Unit or Cost by selecting the specific Rate Profile to be used by that Unit or Cost.
Setting up a Growth Rate at Property level is shown below. Transferring that Property specific Growth Rate to Portfolio level is done in exactly the same way as Capitalisation Profiles are transferred.
The Growth Rate Profile has to be applied at Unit level, to take effect. Select the Unit from the Analyst Console detail window and click on the Interest tab.
The Inflation Rate Profile is set up at Property or Portfolio level in the same way as Growth Rates, as described above. It now has to be applied to a particular Cost, to take effect. Select the Property from the Analyst Console detail window and click on the Costs Icon.
